I love watching movies, even if they're baaaaad. As a writer, I try to dissect where the movie went wrong. So, yes, I go in to a theater or watch on a streaming service keeping my eyes open for plot, pacing, character, and dialogue faults.
How did I develop this odd movie-going experience? Because Mr. Curtis has dragged me to the worst movies ever made! He's a sucker for an action trailer. He's loyal to his action heroes, no matter how old they might become. He does allow me to fast forward through the duds we watch at home, which is a blessing. I honestly feel that watching these bad films has made me a better writer.
I'm not going to point out any clunkers I've watched, but feel free to post some in the comments.
