I spent a year rewriting a 4-book proposal for Superromance at my editor's request.  The package was ultimately rejected.  Supers has been a great experience for me, but now with a new senior editor at the helm, I have to wonder - is the fit still there?

Maybe not.

I like to write younger characters (late 20s, early 30s) who are still making mistakes as they find their way in the world.  Seems like Supers is changing to characters with more experience under their belts, but also more traditional stories lines.  I'd like to write about a former surfing hunk or basketball player.

Having corporate scars of my own, I understand this "rejection" is business.  The question is: do I want to adjust my style to continue with the line?

Need to follow Christina Aguilera's advice:  Don't be scared to fly alone.  Find the path, that is your goal.
